I started a new portrait project last April. “Women at Work” A documentation of women in male dominated jobs. My first subject was my mother-in-law, Nancy, who was one of my inspirations for starting the project. I grew up on a farm and I am familiar with jobs in agricultural. I have never seen or heard of a woman in her position. I have always been inspired by strong women and trailblazers, including my own mother. I hope people will walk away from the project with a changed idea of what women’s work should or can be.
Tonight, I will show three more portraits at Company Brewing in Milwaukee at the event "Still at War" presented by Betty Gow.
