Kat Schleicher is a commercial and editorial photographer based in Milwaukee, working throughout Chicago and the greater Midwest. She creates story-rich, authentic imagery for a wide range of clients, including national brands, mission-driven nonprofits, and leading publishers, as well as institutions in healthcare, education, hospitality, and the arts.

She holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and brings over 20 years of experience photographing people and places across the U.S. and abroad. In addition to her client work, Kat teaches photography and leads a youth media club.

Her personal documentary projects explore themes of family, community and place through both film and digital formats.

Her clients include AARP, The Guardian, Harley-Davidson, Mayo Clinic, Children’s Wisconsin, Hilton Hotels, and Penguin Random House. Her work has been honored in American Photography (volumes 36, 37, 38, and 41) and recognized by Photo District News (Top Knots, 2012).
